A meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the OTG was held in Astana


On the eve of the 10th anniversary Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG), the 10th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the OTG was held in Astana.

The event was attended by the heads of the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Hungary and Turkmenistan, as well as the General Secretaries of the OTG, TurkPA and TURKSOY, the presidents of the Turkic Academy, the Foundation of Turkic Culture and Heritage, the Turkic Investment Fund and the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the OTG.

The participants of the meeting discussed the issues of preparation for the upcoming Summit of the heads of State of the OTG, and also approved the final drafts of documents planned to be signed during this event.

The Organization of Turkic States was established in 2009 in Nakhchivan (Azerbaijan). The OTG secretariat is located in Istanbul (Turkey). Currently, the Organization includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan. Hungary and Turkmenistan have observer status.
