Among the main issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation is the trade and economic sphere. Large Korean companies have been successfully operating in the oil and gas and transport sectors of Turkmenistan’s economy for many years. And there are prospects for expanding their participation In infrastructure projects.

It was also emphasized that cultural and humanitarian ties are an integral part of Turkmen-Korean relations. For example, there is an educational center for the study of the Korean language named after King Sejong in Turkmenistan. Korean is taught at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, and students from Turkmenistan receive education at leading universities of the Republic of Korea.
