President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov. The diplomat conveyed greetings to the head of state from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who addressed wishes of peace, well-being and prosperity to all Turkmen citizens.
Having conveyed warm wishes in return to the Uzbek leader, Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that Turkmenistan is always committed to trusting, good-neighborly relations with Uzbekistan. As noted, both countries have similar or similar positions on regional and global issues, primarily related to ensuring universal peace and security, achieving Sustainable Development Goals.

Turkmen-Uzbek trade and economic ties are also actively increasing, mutual trade turnover is increasing, new prospects for cooperation are opening up in the fuel and energy, transport and logistics, agricultural and other sectors.
Dialogue in the cultural, scientific, educational fields remains a traditionally significant component of relations, which is a kind of bridge for further rapprochement of the peoples of the two states, strengthening centuries-old friendship and good-neighborly ties, it was noted in the evening news release of the Turkmen State Television.
