The President of Turkmenistan and the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan exchanged views on cooperation


President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev on Wednesday, November 1. The guest conveyed cordial greetings from President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to the head of state, as well as National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The head of state conveyed his best wishes to the top leadership of the fraternal country. Particular emphasis was placed on the significance of the meeting with the OSCE Secretary General with the foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and the 16th Cooperation Forum “Central Asia-Republic of Korea”, in which Jeenbek Kulubaev takes part.
During the conversation, the parties stated that in recent years, traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan have acquired a progressive character. Trade and economic cooperation is named as a key aspect of the interstate dialogue agenda. In this context, the need for full use of all possible mechanisms to unlock the enormous potential was confirmed. The subject of a separate discussion was the issues of expanding contacts in the transport and transit sector, as reported in the evening news release of the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
Attention was paid to interaction in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, in particular in the fields of science, education, sports and tourism.
