Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Murat Nurtleu assessed Turkmen-Kazakh cooperation


President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received on Wednesday Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu.
The head of Turkmenistan noted with satisfaction the high level of bilateral interaction, the deepening of strategic partnership, the development of sustainable political dialogue at the highest and high levels, as well as the effective interaction of the two states both in a bilateral format and within the framework of international regional organizations.

Murat Nurtleu conveyed to the President of Turkmenistan best wishes and greetings from President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the head of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan exchanged views on the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-Kazakh relations.
The positive dynamics of trade turnover growth was noted with satisfaction, which at the end of 2022 grew by more than 70% and reached 440 million US dollars, as stated in the press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan have fully completed the international legal formalization of their state border. Mutual interest was expressed in further deepening Kazakh-Turkmen multifaceted cooperation in the spirit of friendship, brotherhood and good neighborliness.

In this context, special attention was paid to the issues of strengthening interregional and cross-border cooperation, developing trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and implementing joint projects in various fields.
