The head of TOBB called on Turkish and Turkmen companies to do business together in third countries
President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Rifat Hisardziklioglu invited Turkmen companies to invest in Turkey on a large scale, including industrial production, and invited them to conduct business in third countries together with Turkish partners. He said this at the Turkmen-Turkish business forum held in Ankara on Thursday with the participation of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The event is also attended by Vice President of Turkey Cevdet Yilmaz and Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kachyr, as well as representatives of the business circles of both countries.
The head of TOBB stressed that Turkmenistan initiated comprehensive industrialization and development and became the center of attraction in Central Asia thanks to decisive steps in accordance with this vision.
According to him, the number of projects implemented by Turkish companies in Turkmenistan has reached 2 thousand. In this regard, Hisardziklioglu expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for the trust and confidence in Turkish entrepreneurs. "Thanks to your support, Turkish contracting companies have risen to second place in the world," he said.
Hisardziklioglu noted that Turkmenistan is rapidly moving towards becoming an international center in the field of transport and transportation. The revival of the historic Silk Road with a wide railway network, automobile and other transport lines and energy corridors is "a very positive event," he said.
The head of TOBB also touched upon the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline project. "As the Turkish private sector, we are ready to contribute to the solution of this issue. If we do this, we will ensure that the Middle Corridor comes to the fore in transportation on the China-Europe line," Hisardziklioglu said. "Cooperation between Turkey and Turkmenistan in this environment will change the fate of the entire region. Because Turkey and Turkmenistan are its leading players. Together we can make our geography the center of peace and prosperity," Hisardziklioglu summed up.
