Negotiations between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubayev took place in Ashgabat.

At the meeting, which took place on November 1 on the sidelines of the 16th meeting of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum, priority areas of Turkmen-Kyrgyz cooperation and its prospects were discussed.

The interaction of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan in international and regional organizations, primarily in the UN, was analyzed. The Ministers stressed the relevance and importance of cooperation within the framework of the Central Asia + dialogue.

The diplomats confirmed the existence of broad opportunities in the trade and economic sphere and noted the growth of bilateral trade. At the same time, the parties paid attention to contacts in the field of electric power, gas industry, transport and logistics, as well as investment, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan said.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the schedule of upcoming meetings and events at the highest and highest levels.
