Iranian Ambassador to Turkmenistan completes his diplomatic mission


Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, met on Saturday, October 28, with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Gholam Abbas Arbab Khales, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Ashgabat.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects for their expansion. In this context, the importance of the visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Iran on May 30-31 of this year was noted. The diplomats unanimously confirmed the importance of implementing the agreements reached during this visit.

Meredov expressed gratitude to the Iranian ambassador for his effective work in developing Turkmen-Iranian relations and wished him success in his future work.
Gholam Abbas Arbab Khales, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for their support and assistance in carrying out his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan, the Foreign Ministry website reports.
Tehran appointed Ali Mojtab Ruzbahani as the new head of the Iranian diplomatic mission in Ashgabat.
