National sports games finished by the leadership of the capital youth in Turkmenistan
XI Students’ Games among students of higher educational institutions and national sports games among students of secondary and vocational schools, employees of ministries and departments, and also national teams of regions and the capital finished. The start for sports competitions was given in October, 2019.
National sports games are held at three stages in 11 sports in which number track and field athletics, swimming, mini-football, volleyball, basketball, handball, badminton, table tennis and others. At first fans of sports compete at local levels, and winners of regional competitions reach the final.
The victory in the Games among schoolboys was gained by the team of Ashgabat, having secured the greatest quantity of points. In the national team of the capital included young sportsmen of school №72.
- My pupils regularly participate in various sports competitions and occupy prize-winning places, - teacher of physical training of the above-stated school, candidate for master of sports Ahmed Annaev told. – At school we even have a corner of achievements in sport. Children show interest in many sports: football, volleyball, table tennis. We do not forget about the national games either. Recently we have had competitions in one of them. And soon a tournament «Gold ball» which is held among pupils of 5-6 forms of the country will begin.
In other categories the Ashgabat vocational school of construction and the State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports have shown the best results.
