The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan met with the Ambassador of Japan completing his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan
On October 27, 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, met with Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of Japan, Hiroyuki Yamamoto, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkmen side expressed gratitude to the ambassador for his significant contribution to the development of interstate and interparliamentary dialogue between Turkmenistan and Japan. This emphasized the importance of strengthening and continuing fruitful cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of topical issues, including prospects for expanding cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres between Turkmenistan and Japan. Both countries noted the positive experience of cooperation within international organizations, including the United Nations.
At the end of the meeting, Hiroyuki Yamamoto expressed sincere gratitude to the Turkmen side for its comprehensive support and assistance in the implementation of his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan in order to strengthen mutually beneficial ties between the two countries. This confirms the importance of further development and strengthening of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Japan.
Both sides expressed their intention to continue strengthening ties and effective
cooperation in various fields, which will contribute to the mutual development and well- being of both nations.
