Turkmenistan has offered to host the next EU-CA ministerial meeting


Turkmenistan expressed readiness to host the next European Union-Central Asia ministerial meeting in 2024. This proposal was noted in the joint communique of the 19th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Central Asian countries and the EU, held on October 23 in Luxembourg.
The participants of the ministerial approved a joint roadmap for deepening ties between the EU and Central Asia, which defines an ambitious framework for expanding cooperation and covers various key areas, including interregional political, trade and economic dialogue, combining efforts in energy, climate- neutral economy, solving common security problems, as well as strengthening contacts and mobility between people.
It was also announced that the first EU–Central Asia summit will be held in Uzbekistan in the second quarter of 2024.
