Participants of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia are expected to visit Brussels

Participants of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia are expected to visit Brussels. The meeting scheduled for next month, November 13-15, is organized jointly by the Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, based in Ashgabat, and the EU Special Representative for Central Asia.
The purpose of the event is to exchange experience with EU institutions on the implementation of the global agenda "Women, peace and security".
This topic was touched upon during the 19th meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asian countries and the European Union, which took place on October 23 in Luxembourg.
The participants stressed the importance of further promoting the full, equal and meaningful participation of women in the decision-making process, which is enshrined in the joint Ministerial Declaration.
The Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia was officially launched in December 2020 with the support of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy and the UN Development Program. It was conceived as a platform for increasing women's participation in political, economic and social life.
