Xiaomi has announced a new product in its Mijia line - a smart mattress cover with heating and sterilization. This gadget will allow users to sleep comfortably and safely, without fear of freezing or being bitten by ticks.
The Mijia Plumbing Blanket smart mattress cover consists of five layers: anti-slip, insulating, waterproof, cotton and textile. Thin plastic tubes pass inside it, through which water circulates, heated by the external unit. The unit has a water tank, a microcircuit and control buttons. It should be installed on the bedside table. The mattress cover can be disassembled and washed in the washing machine by removing the tubes.
The user can set the heating temperature from 22 to 55°C using the buttons on the unit, the Mi Home application or the XiaoAI voice assistant. The mattress protector also supports various automation scenarios.
The smart mattress cover also has a sterilization function against bed and dust ticks. To do this, you need to turn on a special mode in which the mattress cover heats up to 65°C for two hours. There should be no people on the bed at this time. According to Xiaomi, this temperature is sufficient to kill all ticks.
One filling of the water reservoir is enough for two months of operation of the mattress cover. After this, you need to add water yourself. The gadget has no other replaceable parts.
