Turkmen and German doctors will hold a joint XI forum in early December

Deputy Prime Minister Nurmukhammet Amannepesov informed the head of state about preparations for the next Turkmen-German forum on healthcare, which is scheduled to be held online in the first ten days of December.
The proposal to organize it was announced during the visit of Chairman of the People's Council (Halk Maslahaty) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Federal Republic of Germany in September of this year.
This will be the eleventh Turkmen-German forum, covering current issues of practical and theoretical medicine.
Turkmen healthcare workers have maintained ties with their German colleagues in the field of applied and fundamental medical science for more than a quarter of a century, as ORIENT wrote about.
Thus, the first contacts with German healthcare specialists began in 1998, when cardiac surgeons Hans Meissner and Sang Un Pek visited Turkmenistan. That year, Turkmen doctors, together with famous German colleagues, began performing heart surgeries on children and adults. Since that time, the exchange of experience between German and Turkmen specialists in the field of healthcare has become systematic.
During this period, a lot of work was carried out: joint research and seminars on current problems of medical science and practice, candidate's dissertations were prepared, mutual business trips were carried out, specialists were trained in the workplace, etc.
...Head of the Turkmen state Serdar Berdimuhamedov, after hearing the report, instructed Deputy Prime Minister Nurmuhammet Amannepesov to further develop interaction between Turkmenistan and Germany in the field of healthcare, as well as to prepare and hold the next Turkmen-German forum at a high level.
