Ashgabat will host youth selection for a digital storytelling program with writer Gregory Buford


The American Center in Ashgabat invites Turkmen youth to participate in a digital storytelling program with US writer Gregory Buford.
Storytelling is the ability to tell stories and capture the attention of the listener, and is also an effective tool for marketing and communicating a business with potential customers. Through engaging storytelling and its dramaturgy, companies can talk about themselves or their product in a native way and still gain the trust of potential customers.
Applications have already begun, and program events will take place at all American centers in Turkmenistan. Forms can be filled out using the following links:

Selected candidates will be contacted by American Center staff.
Participants in the program will be young people who can create creative and meaningful stories. They will be able to learn the basics of digital storytelling, the elements of screenwriting, how to record and edit digital image, digital audio and digital video, create and present their own digital story.
The program will last from October to November in the format of personal participation.
Candidates applying for Digital Storytelling must meet the following criteria:
• age from 15 to 20 years;
• knowledge of English (intermediate level or above);
• have an interest in scripting and Adobe tools.
