Independence Day of Turkmenistan was celebrated in Tokyo


A solemn event dedicated to Independence Day of Turkmenistan was held in Tokyo on Monday.
Japanese parliamentarians, representatives of ministries and departments, heads of higher educational institutions, businessmen, employees of foreign embassies, representative offices of international organizations and Japanese public organizations, journalists, as well as Turkmen students studying in Japan took part in the festive reception.

The welcoming speeches and congratulations noted the great prospects for multilateral Turkmen-Japanese relations and emphasized the role of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in those dynamics.
During the celebration, General Director of the Japan Economic Society Akhal-teke Affinity Co. LTD Michiko Aoe was awarded the certificate of the honorary title “Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan,” the website of the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The event also included an exhibition of books by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, paintings by Turkmen artists and a screening of videos about Turkmenistan.
