Spouses of leaders of BRF participating countries visited a Chinese museum and a Turkmen exhibition


Peng Liyuan, the wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Ogulgerek Berdimuhamedova, the wife of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, and the wives of other foreign leaders who attended the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) visited the China National Museum of Arts and Crafts on Wednesday.

At the exhibition hall of the museum, also known as the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, they viewed exquisite handicrafts including jade and wood carvings, weaving and embroidery work, Xinhua reported.

The distinguished guests were presented to the art of folk embroidery and filigree mosaics.
Cheers followed ethnic chants performed by children, traditional Chinese opera and much more.

Also here, the opening of an exhibition of Turkmen carpets and products of decorative and applied art of Turkmenistan took place, the exhibits of which were described in detail to the participants of the event.

Noting that culture is the bond that unites BRF member countries for unity and cooperation, Peng Liyuan expressed hope that cultural interaction will be further strengthened to promote friendship and achieve common development.
