The foreign ministers of Turkmenistan and China held a meeting in Beijing


Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a meeting in Beijing on Monday, October 16.
During the talks, Wang Yi noted that the heads of the two states announced the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Turkmenistan this year, ushering in a new era of bilateral cooperation.
China is ready to work with Turkmenistan to comprehensively deepen cooperation and take it to a new level. Turkmenistan is a key partner in the joint construction of the Belt and Road, and Turkmenistan's participation in the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation will give new impetus to bilateral cooperation and advance important joint projects, Wang Yi said, Xinhua reported.

Rashid Meredov also noted that the heads of the two states attach great importance to mutually beneficial cooperation. Turkmenistan hopes to further harness the potential of cooperation in various fields and promote comprehensive strategic partnerships, he said.
Turkmenistan actively supports and participates in the Belt and Road Initiative, Meredov emphasized, adding that the Turkmen side hopes to strengthen the consistency of its initiative to revive the Great Silk Road with the Belt and Road Initiative.
