The opening of the International Film Festival took place in Arkadag
The opening of the Arkadag Dawn International Film Festival took place on October 14 at the Aman Gulmammedov State Drama Theater.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of ministries and departments, public organizations, mass media, photojournalists, residents and guests of the city of Arkadag, as well as actors, directors, producers, film and theater stars, cinematographers from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkey, France, TDH reports.
The ceremony began with the traditional passage of honored guests on the red carpet. The Turkmen cinematographers representing the association "Turkmenfilm" named after Oguz Han were the first to come out.
Among the foreign participants of the international event are Dilshodbek Usmanov, director of the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan, Elena Norkunaite, correspondent and director of the TV program Russia Today, Ihsan Nurullah Kabil, film critic, director Israfil Kurulai, founder of the Turkish film company Bozdag Film Mehmet Bozdag, movie stars – Burak Ozchivit, Ozjan Chagry Shensoy, Fatih Ayhan, Yigit Uchan, Murat Bonjuk, French actor Eduard Montut and producer Gian-Marie Laronz.
At the opening of the film festival, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's congratulatory address to the participants was read out. Then the artists performed a literary and musical composition and a film about the history and bright pages of Turkmen cinema was shown, after which the cup of the International Film Festival "Dawn of Arkadag" was brought to the stage.
Then the presentation of the films of the participating countries began.
On Sunday, October 15, the award ceremony will take place.
Excursions to the Old Nisa, Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag were also organized for the guests of Turkmenistan, where they visited, among other things, the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding and the Gerogly State Equestrian Circus. In addition, famous actors gave a master class at the Turkmen State Institute of Culture.
