The head of Turkmenistan urged his CIS colleagues to support the establishment of the Institute of Neutrality


President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State in Bishkek on Friday, focused the attention of colleagues on activities to further strengthen multilateral partnership within the Friends of Neutrality Group, created at the initiative of the Turkmen side in the UN.
Turkmenistan has proposed holding a regular high-level meeting of the Group in Ashgabat in December this year, followed by the organization of an international conference in 2024, and hopes for active cooperation of the CIS member states within the framework of the above-mentioned initiative, the head of state said.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the interests of our countries will coincide when discussing the possibility of establishing the Institute of Neutrality and Security, designed to become an effective platform for analytical research on neutrality and related issues. The President of Turkmenistan confirmed his readiness to provide all the necessary infrastructure and conditions in Ashgabat for this.
