Kunya Urgench was presented at the forum of the Organization of World Heritage Cities
The fourth regional forum of the Organization of World Heritage Cities of the Asia-Pacific region was held from October 10 to 13 in the South Korean city of Gyeongju. The event was attended by a delegation of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the forum, the Turkmen side presented a report on the historical and cultural heritage of the ancient city of Kunyaurgench, whose architectural masterpieces and monuments are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
A video clip about the history and modern development of Turkmenistan, the country's tourism opportunities was also shown, according to the website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The regional conference was devoted to the topic of using tangible and intangible cultural heritage to enhance the potential of cities included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
