Turkmen mixed martial arts wrestler Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov improved his position in the updated Bellator light heavyweight rankings.

An athlete from Turkmenistan rose from sixth to fifth place, the official website of the promotion reports.

The first place in the ranking of light heavyweights is occupied by Russian Vadim Nemkov. Corey Anderson from the USA took second place, and his compatriot Phil Davis took third place.

Let us remind you that on the night of October 7-8, Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov defeated the Polish athlete Maciej Ruzanski as part of the Bellator 300 tournament. Yagshimuradov won the light heavyweight division by unanimous decision.

In addition, according to the California State Athletic Commission, the Turkmen wrestler was guaranteed to receive a fee of 100 thousand US dollars.

33-year-old Dovletjan Yagshimuradov signed a contract with the Bellator promotion in December 2020, becoming the first wrestler from Turkmenistan in this organization. The athlete has 21 victories, 7 defeats and 1 draw.
