Negotiations with the OSCE Chairman were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
During his visit to Ashgabat, OSCE Chairman and Foreign Minister Buyar Osmani met with Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, and they also held a joint press conference.
At the meeting with Meredov, they discussed topics of common interest related to the OSCE, and also touched upon regional issues related to Turkmenistan and the OSCE region as a whole, in particular related to Afghanistan, the MIA news agency reports.
“The OSCE will continue to serve as a unique platform for dialogue and support to participating countries through the OSCE Framework for Action in response to the impact of the situation in Afghanistan on the region,” Osmani said at a press conference.
The diplomats discussed projects and programs jointly implemented by the OSCE Center in Ashgabat and Turkmen government agencies, including in the field of border security management, gender equality, etc.
