Alternative sources of income for rural women were discussed in Dashoguz

A training on the possibilities of obtaining alternative sources of income for rural women was held in the city of Dashoguz.
The event was organized within the framework of the project “Conservation and sustainable management of land resources and ecosystems of high natural value in the Aral Sea basin to obtain multiple benefits.” The initiative is being implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan together with the United Nations Development Program.
Representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Turkmen State Agricultural Institute, public organizations, as well as residents of the Ruhubelent and Saparmurat Turkmenbashi etraps took part in the two-day training.
Participants in the training session became familiar with the advanced technology of processing wool and making products from it, including the technology of washing raw materials with minimal consumption of water resources.
During the training, special emphasis was placed on the production of woolen fabrics, since they have low thermal conductivity, which is ideal for the production of coat fabrics and winter knitwear.
