Ashgabat and Dushanbe discuss the establishment of air communication
The establishment of air communication between Ashgabat and Dushanbe, as well as other opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the transport and communication sphere were discussed by Mammetkhan Chakyyev, Director General of for Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, and Niyatbekzoda Vafo, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, published on Thursday, October 5.
The report says that the parties reviewed the current situation and the possibilities of increasing cargo transportation between the two countries.
Turkmenistan and Tajikistan signed a roadmap to expand cooperation in increasing cargo flow and activating multimodal transportation for 2023-2025 in May this year following talks between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe.
