North Macedonian Foreign Ministry: OSCE Chairman to visit Turkmenistan
OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Northern Macedonia Buyar Osmani continues his visit to the countries of Central Asia. After visits to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in August this year, Osmani will make a two-day visit to Kyrgyzstan, and next week he is expected to visit Turkmenistan, reports press24.mk with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Northern Macedonia.
During his stay in Bishkek, meetings are planned with President Sadyr Zhaparov, Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev and Speaker of Parliament Nurlanbek Shakiyev, representatives of the OSCE Program Office, the EU, and civil society organizations of Kyrgyzstan. The report does not provide details about the program of the visit to Turkmenistan.
In June of this year, a new office of the OSCE Center was opened in Ashgabat. The ceremony was attended by Helga Schmidt, Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
