Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will establish partnership in the field of cybersecurity
Turkmenistan, mastering advanced experience and best practices, is focused on creating its own digital model, based not only on the import of ready-made solutions and know-how, but also on its scientific and technological potential, the head of the Turkmensvyaz agency, Khadzhimurad Khudayguliyev said, speaking at the first International Cybersecurity Conference “Cyber Security Central Eurasia 2023” in Tashkent.
He cited as an example one of the national products - AV Milli One, multi-platform anti-virus software for protecting computers, smartphones, corporate servers and networks. This is one of the developments of Techno Merkez CJSC, created jointly with Techno Gurlyshyk CJSC, which are engaged in hardware solutions in the field of protection against cyber threats.
In 2019, the State Cybersecurity Service was established under the Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency, the main objectives of which are to implement the state policy on cybersecurity in the country, regulate the security of information infrastructure, coordinate the activities of organizations in order to identify and prevent cyber threats, eliminate their consequences, and participate in the improvement of the national legislation in the field of cybersecurity and employee training.
The development of international cooperation for the exchange of experience is also one of the priority areas of activity of the State Cyber Security Service, Khudayguliyev noted. In this aspect, work is underway to establish cooperation with foreign government agencies and international organizations in the field of cybersecurity.
This is evidenced by the signing at the Tashkent conference of a Memorandum of Understanding between the State Cyber Security Service under the Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency and the State Unitary Enterprise “Cyber Security Center” of Uzbekistan in the field of cyber security.
The head of the agency also invited companies participating in “Cyber Security Central Eurasia 2023” to the international exhibition and conference “Turkmentel-2023”, which will be held next month, on November 9-10 in Ashgabat, where it will be possible to continue important discussions and share innovative ideas in the field of cybersecurity.
