IUOG named after Ya.Kakaev participated in the forum of energy universities in Beijing


Representatives of the Yagshigeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas took part in the international conference "Towards Carbon Neutrality: Education, Technology and Talents", which was held in Beijing on October 1-2. The event was organized on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Chinese Petroleum University.
The conference delegates, including heads of national and international energy universities and research institutes, discussed the energy transition and building a community with a "green" future.

Discussions were held successively at thematic sessions - on carbon-neutral education systems, on carbon-neutral perspectives of science and technology and a Forum of young talents that brought together graduates-specialists in the field of carbon-neutral innovations.
At the forum "The Future of Science and Technology in the context of carbon neutrality", Rector of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas Bayrammyrat Atamanov spoke on the topic "Science, education and innovative technologies in the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan".

This international conference greatly contributed to the exchange of ideas and the enrichment of knowledge and experience among young talents in the field of science, education and technology in the global energy sector to ensure carbon neutrality and sustainable human development.

During the conference, a presentation of global progress in the field of carbon-neutral technologies and prospects until 2023 – CCUS (carbon capture, use and storage), hydrogen, energy storage took place.
On Monday, October 2, the Yagshigeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas and the Chinese Petroleum University signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of science and education.
