The Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan and the EU Ambassador discussed issues of exchange of visits at the highest level


Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov received the Ambassador of the European Union to Turkmenistan Beata Peks, who handed him copies of credentials.
The Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission. During the talks, the sides noted the intensification of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU, both in the bilateral format and within the framework of the "European Union – Central Asia" format.
Issues of exchange of visits at the highest level were discussed, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said.
There was also a thorough exchange of views on the development of cooperation in trade and economic, transport and transit, energy, education, ecology and water resources management in Central Asia.
In this context, the coordinated joint work on the implementation of such regional programs and projects of the EU for Central Asia as "BOMCA", "KADAP", "Erasmus+", etc. was noted.
