Russian Railways develops unmanned trains

Specialists of the Open Joint Stock Company "Russian Railways" intend to create unmanned trains. This was announced by the company's CEO Oleg Belozerov.
Unmanned trains will be created on the Russian platform with the fourth level of automation, which involves remote control of the train cars.
The Moscow metro has already begun testing the LTE data transmission network for launching unmanned trains.
The trains will be put into operation after completion of all stages of testing and safety confirmation.
Earlier, the head of the leading Russian IT company Sitronics Group, Nikolai Pozhidaev, said that in 2024 the first unmanned passenger ships will appear in Russia.
