The Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted a law on the establishment of the Arkadag medal
The draft law on the establishment of the Arkadag medal was considered by Turkmen parliamentarians at a regular meeting of the Mejlis on Saturday, September 30.
As noted in the draft law, the new state award was established in order to reward both citizens of Turkmenistan and non-citizens of Turkmenistan for their significant contribution to the development of social, public, humanitarian, charitable, volunteer activities, in the organization of medical services, rehabilitation, as well as financial and material assistance, counseling and technical assistance to children and young people people in need of support.
During the discussion of the draft law, it was emphasized that it would contribute to the promotion of humanitarian initiatives of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Foundation, the successful implementation of the state's humanitarian policy and the strengthening of the country's international authority.
Following the meeting of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, this draft legislative act was unanimously approved and adopted. This was reported in the news release of the Turkmen State Television.
