The leaders of the five Central Asian states and the German Chancellor held a meeting


The national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is in Berlin on a working visit, took part in a meeting of the heads of delegations of the Central Asian states with Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz.
The meeting was held in the Federal Chancellery of Germany in the format of a working lunch. The event was also attended by President of Kazakhstan Kassym- Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The parties discussed the implementation of promising joint projects that would become the engine of economic cooperation and contribute to strengthening fruitful cooperation in the format of "Central Asia + Germany".
Also during the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the expansion of partnership in the trade sphere, transport and transit sector, in the field of optimization and expansion of energy supplies and the laying of new communications.
This will be followed by bilateral talks with the Presidents of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
In addition to the meeting at the Federal Chancellery, President Frank-Walter Steinmeier also met with the leaders of the five countries today. In addition, the Eastern Committee of the German Economy invited distinguished guests from Central Asia to the economic forum.
At the invitation of the Federal Chancellor, the heads of the five Central Asian countries are participating in a summit of this format with an EU member state for the first time.
