German business circles are intensifying cooperation with Turkmenistan in the field of transport and communications
National leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov called on the German business community to intensify cooperation in the field of transport and communications, speaking on Friday in Berlin at a meeting of heads of delegations of Central Asian countries and the Eastern Economic Committee of Germany.
He announced Ashgabat’s readiness to substantively discuss the participation of German companies in projects for the development of railway transport, shipbuilding equipment, the effective use of transport and logistics capabilities of the Turkmenbashi seaport, as well as to consider the possibilities of new forms of interaction in the field of telecommunications.
“The next area is transport and communications. For a number of years, we have successfully worked with German companies in implementing projects to expand cellular network services, satellite systems, and maritime transport. Along with this, we invite German companies to participate in projects to digitalize the economy of Turkmenistan,” the Turkmen state news agency quotes Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as saying.
