The prize of the President of Turkmenistan was awarded at the festive horse races

On Thursday, the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex hosted horse races dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on whose behalf the main prize was established for winning the competition for the best riders and horses.
Akhal-Teke horses, as the Leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wrote in one of his books, are the pride and glory of the Turkmen people. Not a single more or less significant celebration among the Turkmens is complete without horse racing. This was the case in ancient times, and this custom continues today.
Therefore, it is not surprising that not only amateurs - young people and elders, but also members of the government and national parliament, and, of course, foreign guests gather for the big races to once again admire the unsurpassed performance of Akhal-Teke horses.

On this day, races took place in seven rounds at various distances. Many departments and private farms, supporting and developing national traditions, maintain horses on their own. Moreover, not just by nursing and nurturing them, but by honorably exhibiting horses at major competitions. Including the country's festive derby, when the fight for the championship began in earnest. But the main competition today was between departmental horse breeding farms, mainly for second and third places. The struggle for leadership in most races took place between the horses of the Akhal-Teke equestrian complex of the President of Turkmenistan.
Although in the first four races the horses of this complex were able to compete with the horses of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The score among the leaders was equal - two first places each.
But in the fifth and sixth races there were no equals, again, to the horses of the presidential complex. The winners of all six races received prizes and cash awards from various ministries and departments. All that remains is to wait for the main race of the day – the seventh. The winner received a prize on behalf of the country's president.

The best horses competed at a distance of 2200 meters, and the fight between them was very, very stubborn. The leader changed during the race, and it was difficult to say with certainty which horse would be first. But still, the bay horse Dagbedev, belonging to the Akhal-Teke equestrian complex of the President of Turkmenistan, was the first to cross the finish line. The handsome horse was ridden by an experienced master jockey B. Agamyradov.
Those who were unable to directly witness these unusually spectacular horse races could enjoy them on television... But the meeting with the legendary, as the chroniclers wrote, horses of paradise will not end there - there will still be the next races of the autumn season and new unforgettable impressions.
