The Turkmenistan Chess Federation Cup will be held in Ashgabat
This coming Sunday, October 1, the prestigious tournament for the Turkmenistan Chess Federation (CFT) Cup will start in Ashgabat. About 90 participants from all welayats of the country have already registered for the tournament, which is being held in the country after a long break.

The prize fund of the Federation Cup is currently 10,000 manats. In addition to at least five overall medals, prizes will also be awarded for the three best results among women, among boys and separately among girls under 18 years of age and also among boys and girls under 12 years of age.
At the end of the tournament with classic time control on October 8, individual cups and prizes will be played in “rapid” and “blitz” modes with a minimum total prize fund of 4,000 manats.
It is planned that the tournament will be held annually and has the prospect of becoming international. In the future, participants may be divided into two or more categories to attract more participants, including titled players with high ratings to ensure compliance with the International Master norm.
