An international conference in honor of the Independence Day of Turkmenistan was held in Ankara


The Turkmen Embassy in Ankara, together with the EkoAvrasiya Foundation, organized an international conference dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence. The event was held in the building of the Presidential Library, located in the palace complex of the President of the Republic of Turkey, on September 26.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Parliament, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of Turkey, diplomatic missions of foreign states, as well as socio-political organizations, creative and scientific intelligentsia, the Turkmen diaspora, Turkmen students, and the press.

At the opening of the conference, it was noted that at present, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and national leader, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan is confidently following the path of large-scale transformations, successfully solving the tasks set, and the most important condition for this was the course of international cooperation chosen by the country based on the principles of neutrality.
The speakers at the plenary session shared their views on the main achievements of Turkmenistan in foreign policy and diplomacy, in the comprehensive modernization of economic sectors and in the social sphere, the implementation of national programs and projects of regional significance.

Then the conference continued its work in four thematic sections, where the possibilities of cooperation with Turkmenistan in various areas were discussed in more detail.
Within the framework of the event, an exhibition was launched, vividly telling about the path of independent development of Turkmenistan. The exhibition also includes unique samples of decorative and applied art of Turkmens, carpets and jewelry.

The works of the national leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, illustrated publications about modern Turkmenistan, original customs and traditions of the Turkmen people were presented at the book stands.
At the end of the conference, the participants were offered delicacies of Turkmen cuisine.
