Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov: the basis of Turkmenistan’s success is state independence
National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking at a meeting of the Khalk Maslahaty, said that the basis for the success of Turkmenistan is state independence.
The concepts of independence and statehood, patriotism and humanism take their roots from thousands of years, he noted.
“Today these concepts have become national and universal doctrines that contribute to the rapprochement of peoples and the establishment of friendly relations. By forming national unity, the state laid the foundations for independence,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
“Independence gives power for creation, strength for creation, inexhaustible inspiration for strengthening peace and friendship,” the state news agency TDH quotes the chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty.
Today the era that Magtymguly dreamed of has arrived, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said. Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan has become a country of happiness, unity and development, the National Leader said, noting that next year the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and poet Magtymguly Fragi will be celebrated on a large scale.
