The Turkmen delegation got acquainted with the work of the Barcelona seaport
A delegation from Turkmenistan took part in a three-day course on the work of seaport administrations, which took place in Barcelona. The training introduced participants to the activities of the innovative port of Barcelona, which is the largest in the Mediterranean.
Delegates took a tour of the port, visiting ship loading areas and port police, where they learned about the security procedures that are carried out when loading cargo and people.
During the training, participants were told about the features of the automated information system Port Community System, which allows for centralized interaction between all participants in the port community. As a result, the activities of the sea harbor will become safe and efficient.
Information was also provided on the port's activities in the field of inspection of products of animal and plant origin.
The training was organized by the PS IGC TRACECA with the support of USAID PSA (Azerbaijan), USAID Trade in Central Asia (TCA) Program and USAID Economic Management Program in Georgia.
In addition to the delegation from Turkmenistan, representatives from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Romania also took part in the course. Based on the results of the training, the participants received a corresponding certificate from the Escola Europea Intermodal Transport training center.
