Turkmenistan increased the export of pipeline gas to China in January-August by 5%

Among the states selling pipeline gas to China, Turkmenistan still occupies the first place in the period January-August 2023. According to the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China, for eight months, the import of Turkmen gas at a cost of $6.63 billion, which is an increase of 5% compared to the same period last year.

Russia is in second place, it supplied pipeline gas to China for $4.46 billion, which is an increase of about 86.4% year-on-year. Then there is Myanmar (an increase of 16.2%, to $993.94 million). Kazakhstan (a decrease of 2.3%, to $782.91 million) and Uzbekistan (a significant decrease of 40%, to $370.57 million) are in third and fourth places, respectively.
