FC "Altyn Asyr" played the first match in the AFC Cup
The match of the 1st round of the group stage of the second most important Asian club tournament of the AFC Cup 2023/24 in the Central zone took place in Bishkek, in which the football clubs “Altyn Asyr” (Turkmenistan) and “Abdysh-Ata” (Kyrgyzstan) played. The home team won a landslide victory with a score of 3:0
In the first half, the teams failed to score a single goal and went into the break with the score zero. In the second half, the initiative was seized by the Kyrgyz football players, who scored three unanswered goals.
In the 48th minute, Zhirgalbek uulu opened the scoring, five minutes later Uzdenov doubled the lead, and Batyrkanov put an end to the match in the 56th minute.
“Abdysh-Ata” and Altyn Asyr” perform in group “E” together with “Ravshan” (Tajikistan) and “Merv” (Turkmenistan).
In the second round of the AFC Cup 2023/24, which will be held on October 5, Altyn Asyr will host Ravshan, and Merv will play with Abdysh-Ata. The winners of these matches will have a good chance of qualifying for the playoffs of the tournament.
