Turkmenistan is represented at the ministerial conference in the field of forestry in China
The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the Third Ministerial Conference in the Field of Forestry in Greater Central Asia, which was held on September 11-14 in the Chinese city district of Chifing, reports people.com.cn.
The event was also attended by delegations led by high-ranking officials from China, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The conference was dedicated to strengthening regional cooperation in forestry. The participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss the possibilities of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of promoting the protection of regional forest ecosystems, restoring vegetation in arid areas and preventing desertification.
The meeting adopted the Action Plan of the Greater Central Asia Forestry Cooperation Mechanism for 2023-2025. The document aims to promote the restoration of degraded forests and meadows in the Greater Central Asia region through political dialogue, project implementation, information exchange and other means.
