Two films "Turkmenfilm" participate in the competition program of the Tashkent Film Festival

The XV International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road" will be held in the capital
of Uzbekistan from September 29 to October 2. The main venues of the film forum
this year will be located in Tashkent and Samarkand. To participate in the
competitive program of the festival and applied for film-makers from nearly 30
countries, including Central Asian States, Russia, Israel, Croatia, Japan, Poland,

The Oguzkhan Turkmenfilm Film Studio will present two new films at the Tashkent Film Competition - the feature films "Daragt" directed by Sakhysalikh Bayramov and "Gizil Alma" by Hekim Alovov. Two more films – "Istyarin" by film director Arslan Eeberdyev and "Gizil Kurte" by Sahysalikh Bayramov will be shown in cinemas in Uzbekistan during the Days of Turkmen Cinema.

The film forum will also host a film festival of the EU countries, as well as a film forum of the Turkic states and CIS countries. The organizers also planned a number of creative events - "Uzbek dubbing is 85 years old", the "Cinema in 5 Days" competition, national events dedicated to the 115th anniversary of Uzbek cinema, an exhibition of costumes of Italian films, days of foreign cinema, training seminars, master classes, retrospective screenings and meetings with famous cinematographers.

Participation in the forum of the stars of the world film industry has become a tradition of the Tashkent Film Festival. This year they are waiting for Frederic Diefenthal, a French actor known for the role of Emilien in the film Taxi. He can become the host of the opening ceremony of the XV Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road".

The Tashkent International Film Festival has been held in Uzbekistan since the late 60s of the last century, and was the largest platform for cinematographers from Asia, Africa and Latin America. The film forum was revived in 2021 by decree of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Merziyoyev.
