Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe


President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met in Dushanbe with the Head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the eve of the 5th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian states.
During the meeting, the heads of state discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields, as well as the vectors of expanding cooperation in the Central Asian region.
The President of Tajikistan welcomed the Head of Turkmenistan to Dushanbe and expressed confidence that the results of the upcoming meetings will become a factor in strengthening intraregional cooperation.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, including increasing the volume of trade turnover and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.
In order to develop trade and economic ties, it was considered necessary to intensify the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
