During January-August 2023, 36.8 thousand foreign citizens entered the Republic
of Uzbekistan for commercial purposes. Moreover, the majority were citizens of
Turkmenistan - 21.4 thousand people went on business trips to the neighboring

During January-August 2023, 36.8 thousand foreign citizens entered the Republic of Uzbekistan for commercial purposes. Moreover, the majority were citizens of Turkmenistan - 21.4 thousand people went on business trips to the neighboring country since the beginning of this year.

Tajikistan took second place in terms of foreigners entering the country for commercial purposes – 9.3 thousand people. Afghanistan is in third position with 1.1 thousand people. Next in descending order are China, India, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, the USA and Iran.
