The Caspian Sea Institute and the International Ocean Institute signed a memorandum
A Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation between the Caspian Sea Institute and the International Ocean Institute was signed in Ashgabat.
The ceremony took place on Wednesday, at the Archabil Hotel on the site of the passing these days in the capital of the training course "The Caspian Sea - sustainable development and management" and brought together representatives of all five countries of the region.
The Memorandum was signed by the head of the Turkmen Institute of the Caspian Sea Myrat Atajanov and the Managing Director of the International Ocean Institute Antonella Vassallo.
The document provides for cooperation in the field of marine sciences in the Caspian Sea, professional development of Turkmen specialists working in various spheres of life at sea, and in the organization of training courses.
Turkmenistan is hosting the Caspian Sea - Sustainable Development and Management courses for the ninth time, and more than 130 people from all the Caspian states have already been trained during this time. Today, these people meet with each other at various negotiation platforms, within the framework of cooperation mechanisms in the Caspian Sea, and the experience they gain during such seminars gives them knowledge not only of their specialization, but also of related industries, and gives them the opportunity to understand complex problems and tasks. In addition, the courses become for them the basis of interpersonal communications for the most effective contacts, that is, a kind of "Caspian pool" of marine specialists is being formed.
But the most important thing is that this course provides not just knowledge, but practical skills, including conducting multilateral negotiations, which in itself is a complex process, teaches a holistic approach, that is, a holistic vision of all components, creative understanding of the moments they face in their activities.
Therefore, these courses have no analogues in regional practice and are an important contribution of Turkmenistan to the development of human potential and sustainable development in the Caspian Sea, increasing the level of competence and professionalism of all specialists dealing with any issues of the sea and its preservation for future generations.
