The State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan has completed preliminary testing of the questionnaire for the new round of the MICS

The State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan has completed preliminary testing of the questionnaire for the next round of the Multi-Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS). This is reported by the UNICEF representative office in Turkmenistan.
Thus, over 400 questions were tested among households in the city of Ashgabat and the Ahal region. Preliminary testing showed which questions are the most understandable for the population, and which need to be reformulated and adapted.
The cluster survey on many indicators will be conducted in the period from November 2023 to February 2024.
The Multi—indicator Cluster Survey is an international household survey program developed by the United Nations Children's Fund. The survey serves as one of the main sources of statistical information about the situation of children and women in the world. The survey also measures key indicators that enable countries to monitor progress towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals and meeting international commitments.
