Rashid Meredov took part in the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asian States in Dushanbe


A meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asian States was held in Dushanbe on Wednesday under the chairmanship of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjiddin Mukhriddin. The foreign ministers discussed and agreed on the draft Agenda of the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States and the list of its final documents, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reports.

At the meeting, the Foreign Ministers spoke about the readiness of the countries of the region for open and broad cooperation in the interests of ensuring peace, stability and security in Central Asia. It was noted with satisfaction that the States of the region consistently adhere to the desire to further expand and strengthen relations in all spheres, promote joint initiatives in solving urgent tasks and make efforts to counter challenges and threats.

Sirodjiddin Mukhriddin expressed gratitude to the Central Asian states for the support provided to Tajikistan during the country's chairmanship in the mechanism of Consultative Meetings in 2022-2023, including in holding 16 parallel events within the framework of the Dushanbe Summit.

The ministers were unanimous in the opinion that constant and interested cooperation on a wide range of topical issues is the key to achieving long-term goals and joint development of the fraternal countries of Central Asia, the message says.
