Ashgabat and Hanoi synchronized watches: meeting in the Turkmen parliament with the new ambassador of Vietnam
Speaker of the Turkmen Parliament Dunyagozel Gulmanova accepted the credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Dang Minh Khoi.
On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the head of the Mejlis congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and wished him success in his efforts to deepen cooperation between the two countries and strengthen friendship between their peoples.
The plenipotentiary representative of Vietnam also conveyed greetings from President Vo Van Thuong and assured that he would make every effort to develop Turkmen-Vietnamese relations based on trust and mutual respect.
The Ambassador was informed about the progress of reforms in Turkmenistan, as well as about the most significant projects of national and international importance, implemented jointly with foreign partners in a variety of areas.
During the conversation, a detailed exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues of Turkmen-Vietnamese cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats, primarily on the platform of the largest and most authoritative international organizations.
A separate topic of discussion was the prospects for interparliamentary cooperation, as reported in the evening news release of the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company for Monday, September 11.
