Turkmendenizderyayollary discussed cooperation in shipbuilding with Korean colleagues
The management of the agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary" held a meeting with representatives of the Korean Marine Equipment Association (KOMEA) and Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology. Co., Ltd. (KSIT).
The parties discussed issues related to the planning and implementation of shipbuilding projects aimed at the development of the national merchant fleet of Turkmenistan. The interlocutors paid special attention to the construction of dry cargo ships and ferries.
In particular, they talked about the construction project of two bulk carriers at the Balkan shipbuilding and ship repair plant. KSIT representatives were presented with extensive capabilities and modern equipment that are available at the Turkmen plant, capable of building 4-6 high-quality vessels per year.
Representatives of KOMEA and KSIT expressed confidence in the great prospects for cooperation, noted the professionalism of local specialists and modern technologies used at the Balkan shipyard.
This meeting is an important step towards strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea in the field of shipbuilding and marine industry, the agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary" stressed.
