The city of Arkadag and St. Petersburg signed a cooperation agreement


Mayor of the city of Arkadag, Shamuhammet Durdylyev, and governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, signed an agreement on cooperation in the trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian spheres.
“This agreement concerns the development of our economic ties in the cultural sphere, industrial relations, education, sports and covers almost all sectors,” Beglov told journalists, TASS reports.
According to the governor’s press service, a corresponding action plan until 2027 has already been prepared.
In the future, St. Petersburg and Arkadag can cooperate in industry, science, IT technology, education, and tourism. Alexander Beglov proposed organizing meetings of specialists so that they could exchange experiences.
The Governor of St. Petersburg is on a working visit to Turkmenistan on September 10-11, during which he was received by President of the Republic Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Beglov also met with National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
